It’s the time! We are excited to open the call for speakers\u00a0and we trust that we would receive\u00a0many interesting and deeply valuable talk applications for WordCamp Kolkata 2019. We have to admit it’s our favorite task to read all of your applications and select those who will be speaking at the biggest one day WordPress event in Kolkata. We want to schedule a good variety of quality talks that will interest all types of WordPressers from Dev Community to the marketers and designers and of course the newbies.<\/p>\n

HOW LONG SHOULD MY PRESENTATION BE?<\/strong><\/p>\n We are planning the following format for sessions:<\/p>\n #Long Talks –<\/strong> 40 mins in total, breaking down to around 30 mins for talk and 10 mins for questions.<\/p>\n #Lightning & Sub-lightening talks –<\/strong> 10 mins each, grouping related topics together.<\/p>\n DO I NEED TO BE A NINJA SPEAKER?<\/strong><\/p>\n Relax your nerves! We are your people the WordCamp Kolkata is friendly and welcoming ultimately we are looking for speakers who have something interesting and delicious to talk and share knowledge with others and learn at the same time. We Welcome speakers of all experience level including those who have never presented themselves before. Well When reviewing speaker applications, we will take your previous speaking experience into account. If you have a few WordCamps lined up to add to your speaking experience before WordCamp Kolkata, but after you send in your application, make sure you tell us that too. WordCamp Kolkata 2019 is an opportunity to present yourself to all the WordPress Wizards out there and is a great way for you to share your passion, increase the strength\u00a0of your network and advance your career.<\/p>\n We will be hosting 2 Google hangouts session to answer your queries and related questions about the call for speakers, help you brainstorm and advice and know your content of the talk.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n APPLICATION DEADLINE AND PROCESS:<\/strong><\/p>\n The Call for Speakers will be open until Here is what our application and selection process looks like:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Make sure that you send us an extract about your topic of interest in 300 – 500 words followed by a short video of 1 – 2 mins length introducing yourself so that we can know you.
